Hand spread in PowerPose doesn't work

My environment : Daz Studio 4.16 & Genesis 8.1 basic figure

When I went to the PowerPose -> Hands,

I pressed my left mouse button on Hand Spread and moved up or down,

nothing happened on that hand, but Hand Grasp worked well.

It's a simple function so I can't figure out what could be wrong.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Richard, there are Left Hand Group and Right Hand Group nodes, and their controls are Spread (Left mouse horizontal movement) and Grasp (Left mouse vertical movement).

Both the Spread and the Grasp worked as expected for me. I don't know what could be wrong for jc3_113. See next message.

Oh, wait, I think I might see what is going on. To Spread, you need to move the mouse left and right, not up and down. Up and down is Grasp. You do not click on the Spread or Grasp control diagrams on the bottom of the PowerPose; you click on the circular node indicator on the hand in PoserPose and move the mouse as indicated in the Controls diagram below,

    barbult, thanks for your reply!

But the interface of my version seems different,

the grasp function and the spread function are seperated.

The upper one is grasp, this works well,

the lower one is spread, it says move the mouse up or down to control the finger,

but when I did this nothing happened,

    I really don't know why.

I've attached the screenshot of my Daz Studio.

Huh! I am using DS 4.16.0.3, and I see you are also using some version of 4.16. I see that you have Template Set Default (Generic) and I have Template Set Base (Genesis 8.1 Female). The Template Set appears to have a drop down box to make a different selection, but in my case, Genesis 8.1 Female is the only choice. I don't know why you see something different. Are all of your Starter Essentials and Default Resources packages up to date? I don't know where the PowerPose templates come from. I'll try to research it a little. Richard Haseltine probably knows, because Richard knows 99.9% of everything. He is our best resource in the forum.

In Daz Install Manager, I see packages "Genesis 8 Female PowerPose Templates" and "Genesis 8 Male PowerPose Templates". Have you installed these? I have them installed.

I don't see "Genesis 8 Female PowerPose Templates" in Daz IM. Maybe this is the problem.

But I don't know how to find it?

I downloaded the 4.16 studio from Daz3D about 2 months ago,

(I think that is the latest version.)

and just started to learn how to use this week,

so I'm really confused about everything : (

I also tried on Genesis 2 Female and the problem is still the same.

Type powerpose into the DIM search box as shown in my previous screenshot. Does that not find it for you? Show me a screenshot of what you see in DIM.

Hi, barbult, thanks for your advice, I just found that my DIM was offline. So when I logged in, there were Genesis 8 PowerPose Templates ready to be installed.

And after that, the spread works well and I have the same PowerPose interface like yours.

But there is still one question, it doesn't fix the Genesis 2 figure, and I can't find the templates for them.

Does that mean G2 figures are not surpported by PowerPose?

I'm sorry, I didn't see your reply. I don't know if there are power pose templates for Genesis 2. You could submit a help request and ask Daz Customer service about it.
