Applying Clothing to G8F character - but nothing happens

Hi friends - I am trying to apply clothing (Asteris for G8F) to a G8F character (Kala 8) - but nothing happens when double-clicking the clothing items. I've done a short screencast to make it easier to understand. When changing view from 'Texture shaded" to "Nvidia Iray" view nothing changes either.

I can't access your video. Are you sure you are double clicking an actual clothing item and not a material preset for the clothing?

The problem is that you are selecting a materials preset for the clothing, not the clothing itself. You need to load a Wearables or Wardrobe or Accessories item, not a Materials or H.Materials item.
