How can I use the Dusk S.E. figure to make an auto-fit clone for G3M, G8M, & G8.1M figures?

I have the Dusk Special Edition figure and the Dusk's Loincloth clothing for it. How can I use the Dusk S.E. figure to make an auto-fit clone for Genesis 3 Male, Genesis 8 Male, and Genesis 8.1 Male figures? I would like the Dusk's Loincloth to auto-fit on G3M, G8M, and G8.1M figures.

There's a tutorial here on how to create a V4 clone for Dawn, the same principle applies to creating a Dusk clone for a figure from the Genesis line: http://3doutlaw.com/home/wp-content/uploads/DawnV4Clone3.pdf

Basically you use whatever morphs you have as well as translations / rotations / scaling to morph your target figure into a shape close to Dusk when in default pose. Export your morphed figure as obj, then load that obj as a new morph for the target figure, and save it as a clone morph.

  • My Dusk figure has auto-fit clones for Michael 4, Genesis 2 Male, Genesis 3 Male, and Genesis 8 Male figures. Is there anything I can do with these to solve the problem that I have written as the first comment in this thread?

    1. Fit the DAZ figure (G2M, for example) to Dusk per its associated "clothing" clone as a full-body garment.
    2. Zero-pose both Dusk and the targeted G2M figure.  Zero out all morphs on both except the clone morph on G2M.
    3. Hide everything except G2M.
    4. Reduce him to base resolution and SubD 0.
    5. Export as an OBJ.
    6. Unparent G2M and Fit To None.  He shoud now revert to his original shape.
    7. Load the exported OBJ as a morph target and make sure it works.
    8. Set up the new MT as a clone.

Thank you. This info helped me a lot.

OMG! I did not know I could do this!! I have just followed your instructions and I can now use my extensive Dusk and Dawn clothing collection...thank you!
