Trouble with Genesis

Okay, so over the past few days, I have updated me collection of figures, and Props and Clothing. I am using Poser, not Daz 3d.

They are as follows

Victoria 6
Mei Lin 6
Lee 6
10 faces of Asia
Orion hair
Guillaume Hair for Genesis and M4
Lustrous Hair
North hair
Guitar and Props
Weekend Wear for G2F
Smart And Sassy Outfit for G2F

My first question is this.

WHERE ARE MY DIALS? 0_0 I'm used to V4 and M4, and my dials that I can change shapes of faces and body. I installed it all, but the
Genesis Evolution Body and Head Morphs are not showing up in my list either.

Asian faces are not working with Mei Lin 6. I can't find or apply them.

Mei lin 6 is not working with the Weekend Wear.

Are there any tutorials for the Genesis figures?

The Genesis Evolution and Asian Faces morphs are for the original Genesis, not Genesis 2, while all the other character content you list is for Genesis 2 - the morphs will not work with the figures.

Weekend Wear will work for Genesis 2 female, but it doesn't have a custom morph for Mei Lin 6 - the character is newer than the clothes. Go to Scripts>DSON Support>Transfer Active morphs with the clothes conformed and Mei Lin selected.

Well that was a lot of money spent then. Not that it's a bad thing. It will be usable eventually, but it could have waited then. Oh well.

Okay then. I'll just have to remember that. Thanks for the help.

As long as it's less than thirty days since your purchase you can ask for a refund on the items you can't use.

Really? How would I go about doing that?

Granted the Genesis body and Head Morphs were packaged free, so the only thing I would refund are the 10 faces of Asia. But hey, that's a 17 to 18$ credit I can later use.

Click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page > Submit A Ticket, direct it to Sales Support.

Hmm, I do not see the DSON Support in Poser Pro 2014 under Scripts.

Did you install it using DIM?

  • edited December 1969

DIM? No Sir, I manually downloaded it and Installed it myself.

    Where is it installed to?

  • edited December 1969

It's installed under the Root folder in Poser 2014. It loads Genesis stuff into Poser just fine, but I can't see the DSON option under scripts that Mr. Haseltine is talking about.

Do you have C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser Pro 2014\Runtime\Python\poserScripts\ScriptsMenu\DSON Support ? (Allowing for any differences in the path to PP2014 itself.)

  • edited December 1969

Yes, the actual Path is Poser Pro 2014 Content\Runtime\Python\poserScripts\ScriptsMenu\DSON Support, but it's all there. inside DSON support is the following

    A folder called SubDivision
    two files

    Importer Preferences....py
    Transfer Active Morphys.py

Inside SubDivision folder is 3 files

    Set SubDivision Level 0.py
    Set SubDivision Level 1.py
    Set SubDivision OFF.py

    Nothing else is there.

As far as I know the \Runtime\Python\poserScripts\ScriptsMenu\DSON Support folder has to be in the application folder, not an external content library folder.

Hmm. Okay. I'll try re-installing it tonight then ans see what happens.
