Need a decent muscular model/morphs set

I need something that looks like this:

https://www.artstation.com/marketplace/p/dYMb/muscular-male-basemesh

I've struggled to find anything on the store. I did see someone get some ok results by combining about ten different products.

Needs that kinda super hero physique plus a bit. A lot of the models I've seen just look thick/chunky.

I don't do super-heroes but I do use that Musculature product linked above. It is very versatile with lots of control parameters. The HD veins are not included though.

  • Hi lordofthetrance!

I've been tinkering with using different characters and add-ons this morning to get the look you referenced.

I'll be back this afternoon to continue.  My goal is to use as few products as possible.  We'll see if I can get something close to what you're looking for.

Okay, I tried a few combinations of products, but settled in on what you see here.  It's by no means a replica of what lordofthetrance is referencing, but it sort of gets part of the way there.  Maybe?

I dialed up the original version using G8M, but switched over to G8.1M at the end to use the texture shown.

The combination of items I'm using are: Swole Fibo, Sagatto, Musculature HD Morphs, Auto Muscle Enhancer/Auto Shape Enhancer, Genesis 8 Body Morphs, and Genesis 8 Head Morphs.  I *think* the adjustment morphs I used are in the Genesis. 8 Morph add-ons, but they might be in the base G8M/G8.1M figures (Heavy dialed slightly negative, Height, a Glute morph to very slightly fine tune that area, Nose Tip Height, Cornea Bulge, and Iris Concave.). Height and (negative) Heavy were the only ones that contributed significantly to the end result.

Obviously my take on the muscle man doesn't have the physique definition/shaping/musculature as shown in lordofthetrance's reference images, but I was trying to keep the number of products used to a minimum.  That's hard for me to do. LOL!

And thank you to lordofthetrance for inspiring me to take on this personal challenge.  It was fun to do, even if it is 4:00 a.m. right now. :)

  • Hi leemoon, many thanks for your efforts! It does look really splendid, but I'm afraid it's just too expensive. Once I got to about $75 I stopped counting all the products. Although the textures/hair is very good, for a fraction of that price I could get a model and rig it myself. It's a real shame one can't just buy one package or something. But again, well done on the look, it's superb.

  • Hi lordofthetrance!

Thank you for the kind words regarding the renders. :)

When I first saw your reference material, my immediate thought was that's a great model (especially for the price) and someone should see about rigging it for DAZ.

I had a lot of fun attempting to come close to what you're looking for, even if I did end up using all those products.  It is substantially fewer add-ons than I normally use.  My motto: If you already bought 'em, you might as well use 'em. :)

If you do rig that model or find something else that fits your needs, please do return and share a render or two.  I'd love to see it.

And who knows, the thread is still young, someone else might pop in with an existing character that meets your expectations.  I know I'd be happy to see that.

As a personal bonus, I dialed up a new character to add to my runtime, thanks to you asking about a muscular model.  Thank you for the inspiration to do this.

  • yeah man, glad I could provide some insp :)

I'm just working something up in Zbrush now. I may try to sculpt the anatomy myself for practise (the head/neck is mostly done), but then if it sucks I might buy a body. Thing is though, I've discoverd that Zbrush does a half decent job of posing so I might just pose it there. It's kind of a permanent pose though vs a rig.
