Eliminate Sideburns on Hair

I'm using a product called Hudson Hair for Genesis 8 Males.  It has these wispy sideburns that I'd like to eliminate on the character model permanently (pre-render).

Is there any (relatively) simple way to do that within Daz Studio?  Or would it require a more complicated process like exporting to ZBrush or something similar?

I don't have the hair, but as the description says that it's dForce hair, I'm not sure the ZBrush solution would work. The solution will depend partly on how the hair is set up. If the sideburns are already their own object within the skullcap, you can simply hide them; if not, they might still be a separate surface of the main hair object, in which case you can (if I remember correctly, both instances of DS are currently busy on my machine) set the length and/or density to 0; failing even that, there would have to be density and length maps on the main hair surface, and you can simply edit those to completely black out the area you want to hide.
