[RESOLVED] Separating object files into individual segments

I am hoping this belongs here, as I can't really think of any other place this would go.
I am starting using Blender to import fbx files to convert back to obj files for DAZ to be able to import. However, one of the items I bought (a road kit) has all the geometries in a single file (there are about 33 pieces in a single file). My question is if there is a way to break out each road segment into it's own geometry file then resave it? I am running into the same issue with the obj file option I am offered (I can download multiple formats). If there isn't a way, is there a way to hid the other objects and save it?

I haven't tried personally, but could you select the geometry that you want to separate and then copy and paste it? Or, perhaps you can try to select the geometry that you want and then export using the "Limit to selection" option?
I'm sure Blender will let you marquee-select one piece, invert the selection, delete, and export; undo the deletion and go on to the next. You can do that with the Geometry Editor in Daz Studio too.
If an item has its own geometry you can select it fully by hoovering your mouse over it and then click 'L' (linked).
Then you can seperate it from the rest as its own object, and then export it separetly by selecting 'selection only' in export settings.
Thank you all, I will try some of these
I think I got it working, as I am able to select individual fbx pieces, whereas before I couldn't, which make me think something happened to the download
in edit mode, mesh > separate > by loose parts
but I don't see the point in this since daz studio can import fbx too
