Richard Haseltine - Just a thank you

I've noted your timely, patient, and effective responses to just about any DAZ Studio issue or question going. And I think someone should acknowledge your unfailing generosity and expertise. It is appreciated. You deserve a raise today!!! Cheers, and stay safe until it's over.

  • Thank you, though I have to say there are a good many areas of Daz Studiio that I don't know well, or in some cases at all - it's a big application.

I'd like to echo this. All the moderators do a fantastic job, but Richard definitely stands out, and not just for the sheer volume of his replies. I am in awe both of his diplomacy (when writing short, careful answers to sometimes cranky customers) and his helpfulness and depth of knowledge (when writing longer, more technical answers to people's questions).

Thank you, Richard. You definitely make the DAZ forums a better, more useful and more enjoyable place.

I echo the above.  When scrolling through forum listings for topics of interest to see if there are any new postings, I'll likely open those posted by Richard.  Thanks!

Richard is a Daz forum treasure! I hate to think where I'd be without all the excellent advice I've received from him over the years.

I agree ! We must read EVERYTHING written by Richard even if not concerned. I recently understand some tricks for a problem I had almost 2 years ago without any solution (or with an alternate solution I found but far less convenient :-) )

  • @Richard Haseltine is the BEST! I've learned a lot about the inner workings of Daz Studio thanks to his detailed answers to the many, many different Daz users questions about all sorts of issues they were having. Richard, thank you so much for all of the time you have put into your polite and professinal responses in the Daz Forums!

You are all welcome, though I do frequently get prompts from the Daz side to help with my answers.

  • Adding my appreciation as well. A little while ago, Richard got to the bottom of a TCB issue that I don't think anyone else in the forums could have. Many thanks for that, Richard.

To me, Richard Haseltine is Daz Studio.

Over the years he has helped me countless times (when no one else bothered to)

I cannot  think of a post I agree with more.

I thank the person that started this thread .

I am sorry I did not think to do it sooner

I echo your feelings. Richard has been valuable and patient in assisting me in various ways over the years.

A warm "THANKS!" for all you do for us. (Yes back on Daz for a bit will start bugging you soon again) laugh

We, the mods, do get a lot of hints and tips to help us deal with technical queries.

Whenever I have an issue, before creating a new thread, I always look for a cat that's facing the Daz icon for guidance, ;) plus whenever any Daz news makes its way to our shore, the one always steering the boat is Richard, these forums would be naked without Richard's guidance and I appreciate his, and the other mod's efforts in keeping the peace, despite having had plenty of posts of mine deleted, (Yes, they were deserved!) because without moderation, chaos would rule, and this place would resemble the youtube comment section more than a proper forum!

This forum is much like a respite from the utter chaos from the dark, and clear corners of the internet!

Since this is still somewhat active I can't resist the urge anymore to also jump on the so called bandwagon. Even though I sporadically visit this forum and when I do so I usually don't even need help myself. But that doesn't mean I don't notice all the massive effort that Richard pours into this whole thing. And he definitely gained my respect over all these years that I've been here... I think ... hmm, 7 years now or so?  I think it was around 2016 that I dove into Daz Studio.

And I'll do you one more: it's not just the help and awesome insights that Richard provides to all of us: it's also the way he handles, errr...  "naughty people"? ;)

I'm not going into detail here but I crossed the rules of the forum once, and as a result that post of mine was removed. To be fully honest with you lot the polite & mature way in which Richard handled this made me easily drop the subject there and then. What subject you ask? See, that doesn't matter anymore IMO. I dropped it and since then only focussed on the things that matter to me: Daz Studio, 3D renders and a bit of ZBrush every once in a while ;)

I may not really need help, but I still see all the effort he pours into this forum and each to their own: but for me that just demands a helluvalot of respect!

Thanks for all the help & hard work Richard!!
