What is a 4.9.x Build in Daz Studio?

Hi.

I was reading this in the change log of the new release:

For anyone using a pre-4.9.x build of Daz Studio:

  • The first time you launch Daz Studio 4.9+, any data that exists in the content database is migrated so that it can be used in Daz Studio 4.9+.

What does this mean? I was using 4.15 and the new version is 4.16. So what exactly am I supposed to check if its 4.9 or later?

Thank you in advance.

15 and 16 are bigger numbers than 9, so those are later versions.

Your content database should be fine if you haven't had issues up to now.

  • Versio  numbers are integers separated by dots, like IP Addresses. major.minor.revision.build - that why it is give as 4.9.x(.x) or 4.16.0.x for the current release builds, 4.16.1.x for the Public Builds.
