How to save a pose?

Okay, that's not exactly what I mean. I know how to save a pose but what I'd like to change is that when I save it, it reverts back to the ZERO location in the scene. How can I save it so the character assumes the pose in it's current location? A good portion of my purchased poses will pose in place so I'm pretty sure it's possible. Thank you for any help.

  • Don't move with the hip, move with the figure (ecept for things like y-translating to keep the feet on the floor), then make sure you exclude the figure node from the pose preset. If you want to save the placement save a preset with just the figure selected, and no bones.

Not quite sure what you mean exactly. I select the figure, save as Pose Preset, name the pose and save it to my custom pose folder. There didn't seem to be options for nodes or bone selection.

In the Pose Preset Dialog click the white arrow next to the figure name, then the ones next to General and Transforms, and untick the box next to Translation. And Rotation as well if necessary.

@DDCreate: Also, IF you own Pose Fusion Plus, and if you have a character in a scene to which you'd like to apply an already-saved pose without having the character change location in the scene - -

THEN you can use Pose Fusion Plus to browse to the pose you wish, and then you can apply it to the character in the scene.

No need to zero the character's pose before you apply the new pose. Also, with Pose Fusion Plus, you can apply the entire pose, or portions of the pose, such as hands, arms, torso, head, legs, etc. You might want to look it up and check it out. I like this product, but I'm not a seller of any of these products.
