What has happened to the 'Add Smoothing Modifier' button?
The 'Add Smoothing Modifier' button used to be under "Edit>Object>Geometry>Add Smoothing Modifier"
(I think there were a few ways to get to it but that's just how I used to do it)
Now if you hover over "Edit>Object...", the only option is "Change Parent(s)"
I can't seem to find the 'Add Smoothing Modifier' option anywhere, only on scene subsets which I created which I previously added smoothing modifiers to before the software updated.
Sorry if this is super easy to answer and a waste of a post but I have spent a good 2-3 hours figuring it out and I used to use it quite a lot.
The same has happened with "Add D-Force Modifier - Dynamic Surface", so now I can only use D-Force on objects which already had a D-force modifier applied.
If anyone could point me in the direction of these I'd be hugely grateful.

Is this a new install?
Did you activate your Studio license?
Have you tried
Window>WorkSpace>Update and Merge menus
then restart Studio?
Does the application title bar say itn is the Pro version? I suspect not, in which case entering the DS Serial number in Help>About Daz Studio should fix the issue. If not look to see if some plug-ins are disabled in Help>About Installed Plug-ins
So, I also was beating my head against the wall about this.
You have to select the thing, right click on the Scene tab, then Edit from the long menu that comes up, then from the second menu Geometry, and then you'll find Add Smoothing Modifier.
Hope it helps! Everything is all moved around now, so I feel your pain.
Also for the d-force modifer, select the thing, right click the simulation settings tab on the left, then dForce from the menu that pops up, then add dforce modifer
Activation was fine but the Update and Merge menus worked! Thank you so much!!
You might want to save your layout, Window>Workspace>Save Layout, as a precaution then run Window>Workspace>Update and Merge Menus
