I loved the concept so much too, had to buy the set
I haven't because I can't see ever using it ever ever...but the concept is great!
Ok I can say I've used it now :) ...though with Gianni instead of the Minotaur. I still have to use it with the Minotaur.

It was a sitcom... FOX had it on a few years ago... It was called "Opposites" and it was about an overly upbeat and clumsy Ancient Greek servant named Obnoxikos (played by Dustin Diamond who was known to many as "Screech" from "Saved by the bell"), who displeases his master and is thrown into a labyrinth to be eaten or married to a Minotaur (it was never really clear, but he was wearing a wedding dress for some reason).
Somehow Ob (short for Obnoxikos ) gets chained to the Minotaur (portrayed by Brad Garrett, who played Robert Barone on "Everyone love Raymond").. The Minotaur, who isn't actually so much a Minotaur as a messy, large, sad guy wearing a Viking helmet... He and Ob end up falling into a time vortex as they search for a way out of the maze... They end up in 1970s San Francisco where they must pose as two renegade detectives who drive a souped up 1976 Ford Pinto (non stock hubcaps) as they solve crimes and seek a way back to Ancient Greece, all while chained to each other and forced to deal with each other's strange behaviors.
It was critically hailed as "Nothing short of a crime against humanity".
It lasted 3 seasons before Fox finally cancelled it when it was actually revealed that the whole show was a convoluted terrorist plot to drive Americans insane.
Fox eventually had to burn all copies of the show and find a way to erase it from public memory... Which actually proved to be easier than it sounds, since nobody actually watched it... So much so that it actually had negative viewer numbers.
The show was written by Geoff Atkinson who penned the scripts for the British sitcom "Heil Honey I'm Home!"... Which, and I'm not making this up, is a 1990 show about a comedic "All in the family" version of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun, who live next door to a Jewish couple... Surprising Mr. Hitler can't seem to get along with his neighbors.
I'm so not making that up that I've actually included the IMDB link about the show:

After having recently found out about this interesting bit of television history, I've decided that England can no longer make fun of anything FOX actually produces... Yes England, you had Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, D. H Lawrence, Wordsworth, Jane Austin, George Orwell, Keats, Byron and Douglas Adams...
Yet you still let "Heil Honey I'm Home!" happen...
Sorry.
You still get to make fun of "Reality TV" though.
But anyway... Yes, those poses are very funny.
I may have made up the the Minotaur show... But in my defense, I have a problem remembering what is real and what I made up.
