Daz Hrose 2 - Mane

As I've finally been able to get Digital Anvil's Genesis 2 poses for the Daz Horse 2, I was going to go back to some horse-related projects which have been on hold.

There's only one problem... The mane.

I haven't really done much horse-related art in the past, which usually means doing an image search for the animal in question for reference. The thing is, Daz Horse 2 comes with not one, but two manes: One for the left and one for the right. I hadn't really examined that side of things when I purchased it, but all the pictures I've found of horses don't really indicate if, in real-life, the mane would typically just be over one side or, like human hair, spread over both.

So, should I typically add both the left and right mane (in which case, I'd wonder why Daz split it up)? Or do real horses usually have the mane over just one side or the other?

Well, it comes with a left and right mane so you can add either the left side, or the right side, as you please. Of course, you also can add both, if you please so. ;-)
The two separate manes are for practical reasons, basically like a preset of sorts.

Personally, I usually add just one of the manes.

Horses manes are usually all to one side or the other. Some horses may have extremely thick manes which will split down the middle. Usually though when they are groomed the mane is "trained" to sit on one side.

I see... All I could find were pictures of the mane perpetually on the side of the camera. Made it difficult to figure out if that was a deliberate technique on teh photographer's behalf or because the mane goes both sides!

Guess I'll just put both on, experiment with invisibility and seeing which looks best, each time. :)

The mane needs to go up farther toward the ears.
