Crashed computer moving content

I forgot where I put stuff. I have a folder of scenes but when open a scene it cannot find files. I have to point them to the folder which is right there. I know there is a problem with path but cannot figure out where it expects the \content\runtime relative to the scene file. Originally they were created in programs folder but I successfully moved them with upgrades to documents. But since then cannot get the back ups to work.

Is there a file that has all the paths of files? I am illustrating a book from a story my daughter wrote when she was 7 and it is important.
There is over 4 gb in content! So it does not copy or move that easily and takes hours.

    Are these .DAZ scene files?

If so, is the error 'Cannot find file for storable....'. What that is telling you, is that DS cannot find the 'data' folder for the saved items.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, and make sure that the path to the data folder that holds these files is listed in both a DAZ Studio and Poser Formats.

DO NOT list the path to the 'data' folder itself, but the folder that holds it. For example, if the data folder is directly under a folder called 'Content', then list the path to Content.

Thanks I think that did it. I wanted to make it "portable" and do some work at work, so I have a copy on my USB harddrive. It works better at home but not all loaded. This hint should help.

One of the scenes is a garden with over 100 flowers and stuff. It takes forever to load and crashed the computer at work or locked up. I got a new computer with 7 core and 12GB ram. I then got a Gforce card with 1 gb ram. I have not successfully loaded up the garden but this tip hopefully will do it. The problem was backing up the content when my computer was dieing. It was to big for a DVD and 300GM USB harddrives were not around yet!

    Thanks again.

The picture is an old front page. The improved garden has much more in it and I could not render it because it took so long to load and render. I am sure the new computer will do it. Yes I did get carried away with the plants and found a few more things, humming bird and others.
