if it is strandbased, it is only visible as points in the vertex room

...but if on a creature etc and converted to blended weight and saved as a scene subset it is invisible but actually rigged!

which is useless but suggests something could be done to give it thickness, I just haven't figured out how yet

( no you cannot add thickness to points only polgons)

if you want a prop though you can enable PBR hairs in DAZ and line tessaltion and export a horrendously big obj

So you can't use this hair right now. They look great, but if I don't take the hairstyles to Carrara, they're no use to me. Good to know, then I shouldn't buy them either.

    only for DAZ studio

and DAZ helpfully encrypted them fo Premier Arists only so our friends like Philemo or Alberto etc cannot even create a Carrara converter

I actually suspect if it were not for that they might even load in Carrara with PBR preview and like tesselation enabled

in Blender there were similar problems but they found a way  look here:: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/546256/dforce-hair-nach-carrara-problem#latest
there is something in terms of converters. see here::: https://diffeomorphic.blogspot.com/p/hair-version-15.html
maybe it will help the cracks with a solution.
