X-Scale of G2F....is this just a "Don't do that" type of thing, or a bug?

Replicate: G2F, X-scale smaller, bend arm, results.

I was trying to make the figure slimmer in X and Z, which looks good in zero pose, but when I change the pose....got some weird results.

Did you adjust the rigging after scaling?

Well, no, I didn't realize I had to? How would I do that?

(I instead made a G2F Clone for Genesis, and used my existing character morphs in that figure, which have the slight build I was looking for...and autofit the G2F clotthes. LOL, long way around, but it worked)

Scratch that...I thought it could be done with the 'Adjust Rigging to Shape', but it doesn't seem to do much for the scaling. But one of the places it is found is Edit>Figure>Rigging...

You could bug report it - then if it's a bug (or a problem with the rigging) it can be fixed.

As an update, in case anyone was wondering...I received Daz's reply:

"The X and Y Scale are hidden properties and should not be used for re-sizing the figure.
If you wish to have a slimmer G2 figure, you can use the morph presets to achieve this."

...so I am out of luck for this.

Unfortunately, there are no morph presets I could find, even with the G2 Female Body Morphs that can achieve the slimmer look I was after, so unless you purchased a cartoon shape character for G2F, you are out of luck for re-sizing (in this manner) to a slimmer figure.

So I dropped back to Genesis, made a G2F clone (see forums for How To), and am using a combo cartoon style shape I had bought.

I use hidden properties all the time. I guess I've been lucky up till now! :)

You could use deformers to create your own morph. Carnite has an excellent video tutorial on using deformers and creating morphs right here:

May not be what you're looking for but then again it might. :)

Try scaling the individual parts instead of the whole figure. That works for me. Also, that gives you the option of not making the arms and fingers shorter in the process of x-scaling.

OK thanks, I may give that a try!
