  • Usually characters include materials for the eyes as separate presets/poses.

Select the figure in the scene. Find the materials you want to use. Not a problem if there are no separate eye textures, you can select which surfaces are changed. Go to the Surfaces tab and expand the surfaces tree so that you can see them all. Multi-select all eye surfaces (depends on the generation, but include things like Iris, Pupil, Sclera, Cornea, Lacrimals, Moisture, etc., that are obviously part of the eye that you want to restore. Go to the material preset you want to use and hold the CTRL key when you apply it to get the load Options dialog (the CTRL key often gives an options dialog for different types). You have two choices to Apply: Surfaces -> Selected, and Images -> Replace.

How about turning the whites of the eyes different colors to create the alien eyes myself -I can't find what to choose for that in surfaces

That would be the Sclera. You will have to go into the Surfaces pane to get to it.
