    Teaser poster for my Comic/Graphic novel

    Looks great, I love the overall effect; the only thing I wasn't keen on was Anubis's right hand, I can't make it out clearly and don't know if something important is going on with it. Everything else rocks.

    Not very surprising to find that the Morpheus figures are great for NPR.

    Mind you, this started as an Iray render, with gray environment and headlamp.

    Character on the left is G2F, using mostly Girl 4 shape (reduced bust, African features, larger nose)
    Character on the right is G2M, using Morpheus stuff (one overall shape, some chin) transferred over from G3M, plus Darius shape/skin.

    Color layer was essentially 'flattened' with reduced contrast.

    Then Linerender9000 to add lines.

    My 1st attempt at using that new script for motion lines.  I also used a motion blur technique as well.

    Here is an update to my character posted awhile back.  Tweeked the colors and gave him a smaller gun.  Only problem is the gun doesn't seem to match the holster.  Hard to find good holsters so I might try another gun.

    that combination is magic. wow. I like your various techniques on your DA gallery, but this would be my favorite. I keep looking at it and thinking way-kewl! Not too real, and not too 'fake'. More of a style of its own. Hard to describe.

    Very nice.  I haven't been able to get results like that from FotoSketcher.  I guess I need to play with it more.

    The trick with Fotosketcher paint styles is to make sure your feed image is large enough for it to work; I usually aim around 2000x2000.

    Note that your image doesn't have to be that big -- since the paint is naturally a little imprecise, it totally works to double your image size, run it through, then halve it after.

    nice tip, I've been doing a series of  72cm  by 52 cm at 300 dpi  for a show. I'll try doubling them and then shrinking them - might be interesting

    Yeah I'm working on a render that I would like to have that effect so I'm really going to try and reproduce it.  I'll make the render nice and big.

    The nice thing is that since the brushes lose detail, you can probably make big blurry blow ups and get something interesting, though I haven't pushed it far yet.

    This is particularly welcome if you are using 3dl; 3dl render speed is fairly tightly linked to output size, while Iray is more flexible.

    I like the updates in general. I can't help but wonder if the shade of blue is correct, though, as it seems a bit "off" to me for the retro vibe you're shooting for. And you're completely right about the gun -- you gotta get a new one.
