Decal on Glass

Hi,
How would you place a die-cut vinyl decal of a store name on the surface of the storefront glass? or a cutout logo on the surface of a glass mug, so the logo is opaque, and the glass transparent?
Thank you, I am new to Daz and have mostly just been reading the forums and learning so much.

@battalionarmour NOTE: You need to be in the Nvidia Iray Viewport mode to see the Decal effect (turn on the NVidia preview option)
1. Select the object (ex. storefront glass) that you want to apply a decal to in the Scene tab
2. Go to: Create-->New Iray Decal Node (on the menu bar) and select the radio button for "Parent to selected item"
3. Click OK and the bounding-box for the decal will appear in front of your object... Move it just in front of your object (almost touching)
4. In the Surfaces tab, go to "Base Color" and select the down-arrow to browse to your Decal image and choose it.
NOTE: If you need part of your Decal to be transparent, make a Mask for it, then in Surfaces go to "Cutout Opacity" click the down-arrow and select the mask (make sure the Cutout Opacity slider is at 1.00),
Lot's of different ways to accomplish this. Most of them are not not simple if you're a beginner.
Simplest way would be to use an IRAY DECAL, but even that would require you to have whatever logo you want to use, and also an opacity mask for the area that isn't the logo. You'll need an external image editor like Photoshop or GIMP to make the opacity mask at least. Google "daz studio iray decal" and you should find good enough directions.
It would really be much better, and also much more complicated to add the logo to the actual material file images that the window or mug is using. In that case you'll need to understand what a lot of the material properties are really doing. If you just want it for one image, and nothing will be animated or anything an Iray Decal will work fine.
Wow, I had no idea there was an iray decal node option. Thank you so much for this step by step.
@battalionarmour Your welcome, and yes, Daz Studio has some many cool and useful features under-the-hood. The forums are a great source of info, and as @Spacious noted, there are multiple ways to accomplish most any task in Daz and knowing some photo manipulation skills comes in handy too.
Yes, thank you both! @Spacious @robertswww
