question about coalition rapier ying-yang rendering

the promo pictures show the smiley undersuit as having a pronounced honeycomb texture but I am getting an almost mat black texture
the rest of the suit appears to render OK
does anybody know why this is happening?
TIA

I have discovered that the surface tab has been set up incorrectly with an alternative set of texture mats that get installed
if I manually set up the diffuse/specular/bump mats I get a result which looks like it should?
The question becomes why does the surface tab get set up incorrectly when loading the undersuit onto the figure as I shouldn't have to do this. Is it something to do with where I have installed the product (I don't use DIM and do it manually)?
Huh.
On first glance I thought that was a bump you had put in the diffuse, then I realized you were using the Yinyang texes not the default. >.<</p>
I honestly couldn't answer that question.
Are you maybe using Poser files?
I am not on my computer to check this one but many things have both Poser and DAZ studio textures and using the wrong one gives odd results.
As a Carrara user I am pretty much used to manually loading maps as often neither work out the box in Carrara so nothing surprises me.
I tried uninstalling it and re-installing under My Library just in case the problem was something to do with the installation position. (I am using Studio 4.7.0.12.)
It didn't change anything.
