Sending Daz 3D models to get support from software seller, is that ok?

If yu get some software and have some trouble and the seller is helping you to troubleshoot and he needs to have your model so that he can see what's wrong. is that ok? or not? It would just be V4 or M4 base. And clothes gotten from renderosity.

And it would be sent as an FBX of a character wearing clothes . the reason is because the software is for Unity and that's where i'm having problems

    Hmm, not really.

AFAIK an FBX file has the geometry, which would make it a no no.

It would be better to provide a scene file (for DS) and instructions on how to transfer it to Unity to see the issue.

Poser scene files would be OK if you didn't embed the morphs (which would require the other user to have the same morphs in identically named .pmd files)

Thanks for the fast reply. Ok. So now i guess i can't get support and i either wasted money or I have to figure it out myself on how to fix it. Even though i have no clue and it's some technical problem and i'm not that technical. it's ok.. I have figured out stuff before. maybe i can figure it out.

Well the problem i have is this. I'm using MegaWrap for Unity which you can use to correctly wrap(conform) clothes around characters.(because the whole conform system and also the Apply smoothing modifier of DAZ doesn't work at at in an FBX brought to unity from DAZ)
(And also dresses etc don't follow the legs/thighs)
But when i select the Target ( bilWomanV4xxxx(numbers).Shape) and press Map....then there's an error saying
"NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an Instance of an object"

I export the FBX from DAZ with the V4/M4 having no morphs at all. just the BASE figures.
So i wonder why it doesn't work.

No one here into Unity? and no one here use Megafiers/MegaDAZ/MegaWrap for Unity?

Probably because if they are creating games for Unity they know they need a game developers license for any DAZ 3D stuff they use, plus licenses from any PAs who's products they use as well

You might want to post in the Commons or Nuts & Bolts and mention MegaWrap and Unity in the title, so those who use them will notice it.

If they have DAZ studio and I presume Unity indeed would, you could send a duf scene file if you use content they have set up in DIM to load to default locations
I have loaded others duf scenes, I just get grey blocks for content I do not have.
