Firefox Browser uses around 400 MB of video memory.  surprise  Maybe I should close Firefox before I run Daz Studio to render my scenes.

I usually close it when Cinema's rendering too,  though sometimes I can't be bothered to xD  Depends on the scene I guess.

..I do the same when rendering in Iray even though Chrome only takes about 180 - 200 MB.

For me it is more Chrome's footprint on system memory as I only have 24 GB total. and right now running at just over 4 GB with Chrome taking about  3 GB of that.

My apartment mate is either very quiet and invisible or she isn't here.

Does anyone want a watermelon slice?

Just a note to say I've changed.  No longer saucy, sado-masochistic and a little squirrelly.  But I am still LeatherGryphon (see avatar).  However it seems that due to TOS rules I am uncertain of my footing here anymore.  I'll be watching but no longer expressing myself here.broken heart

    Nooo!

    Not the squirrel!

    That's iconic!

You've had that the entire time I've been here (2007?)... and probably way before that even...

Please don't go away... Saucy is important...

Think of how bland chicken nuggets would be without the dipping sauce...

I suppose it's okay if you just wanna watch and not expose yourself... oh... okay, I misread that... but still... don't not post, we've lost enough of the original forumites... think of the kids... what would they do without this valuable insight?

You probably don't realize this, but if it weren't for your comment years ago, I'd probably still not insert line breaks or even remotely bother to dabble with paragraph structure... yes, I only dabble with grammar, but it was your comment that made me realize that writing everything like a drunk Facebook rant wasn't conducive to people being able to read my writings, which are hard enough on the eyeballs as it is.

That was probably fourteenth years ago and I still appreciate it... or remember it in a positive manner... honestly, I'm surprised I remember that at all, but my point is god knows how many other people your comments had a positive effect on.

Well, I suppose it's a positive effect if one doesn't consider my posts the war crimes they really are, but still...

Anyway... I'm happy you are back at least to some degree... don't give up on us crusty old bastards here... you have friends who'll miss you!

I think an ER visit isn't fun, as it is so much waiting.  I have been here maybe 4 or 5 hours and I have yet to be seen.

Today art just wasn't doing it for me.  I tried drawing and Photoshop started acting up. I tried 3D and the landscapes and trees just looked like a mess.  Instead of trying to force it I just sat it down and watched some stuff on YT to unwind.  Feel a lot better now, and figure I'll give it a stronger stab tomorrow.

Not a happy thought.  This is starting to be disconcerting.

I am heading home from hospital.  I'm doing better.  Oh I can't read the paperwork because I'm in the free taxi ride home.

Too tired to really say much, other than somethingsomething scene I was working on months ago then abandoned then came back to briefly.  Different camera angle though,  not sure where I want to take this next or if I want to take it anywhere really. ..

Very cool... I think it's worth exploring more.

Mmm yes, perhaps~   There was an older version of this posted in this thread some time back;  different angle, more fog... I thinned the trees and fog and then while I was looking around I saw this angle and thought "Ooh I like that"

I wonder if there's a script for Cinema 4D that'd help with bulk-assigning  Constraint Tags to figures.  One thing I appreciated about Poser and DAZ Studio was the Conform To... options for figures, taking a clothing set or whatever and just telling it "Stick to that character right there"  and it'd poof into place.  Can't really do that in Cinema without applying a tag to each and every joint on the clothing rigs and then binding it as a PSR to its equivalent joint in the figure's rig.  For each and every clothing prop,  and I'm not terribly sure you can just Content Browser it - would you have to re-link everything if you put it away and bring it back later?

It just needed a rider!    I'm a bit lacking in the human department (In no small part due to the Bridges spitting out half functional or barely functional results when it comes to things like clothing... But mostly because my eyes have primarily been set on critters not people over the years xD)   so I decided to put a model I was making for a friend up on its back for the time being  :>

So, today Photoshop has decided it wanted to randomly stop detecting my tablet's pressure sensitivity... Three times in under ten minutes. Requiring a program restart each time for it to re-recognize it.  Big complaint, since need my tablet for the work I'm doing :V

Wasn't doing this yesterday, why now all of a sudden agh.   Friends suggested switching to Clip Studio or etc, which I have looked into but can't really make that kind of jump as of right now.  Not sure how well it'd work out either, since my tablet's as old as my version of Photoshop and I can't use the latest Drivers for it - which stopped being made back in what, 2020 / 2021?  -  since they introduce new issues for me so I need to be on specific older versions, ones that have caused problems in a few modern applications.   New tablet time I guess?  :/

one side of the nib on my tablet's drawing pen is worn.  I should look for a replacement nib.
