edit haven't checked for Victoria 1 but I have Victoria 2.  What is the difference between Victoria 1 and 2?

Victoria 2 is the same as Victoria 1 except Victoria 2 has added morphs. Similarly Michael 2 is the same as Michael 1 but with added morphs.

    Observation or complaint... you decided...

This is a peeve of mine... You are shopping for something, in my case it's usually a tool or mechanism of sort and you come across it being sold somewhere and they have what look like 60x80 thumbnails of the item on the side of the page and when click on them for a more detailed look, they show up larger...  a 60x80 image that's just bigger, not more detailed... but that's not actually the real peeve...

You look around and next to the images you see "An innovative new design comes with a 48" real extruded aluminum track with thre..."

About three inches below that you see "An innovative new design comes with a 48" real extruded aluminum track with thre..." then you look around and notice the wording next to the images has a highlighted link "Details" that's way too far over to notice, but whatever, so you tap the link and the page scrolls up three inches to reveal... "An innovative new design comes with a 48" real extruded aluminum track with thre..."

God, that makes me want to bludgeon someone... one, for the "with thre..." or any half finished word followed by an ellipse as if the writer was stuck down by Zeus mid sentence... and two for trolling me into clicking on "details" only to see the same half finished thought...

That immediately makes me irrationally super pissed off... it's pretty much a lost sale if I go to a couple of other pages and see that's endemic to your site... if you can't waste time giving a product description, I'm not wasting time giving you my money... it's not 1997 when each letter on a website cost $15 and you had to conserve space on the internet because the tubes that carried the ether particles were much narrower back then and the particles were bigger…

Amazon does that with their streaming service… every movie description is one and a half sentences long, yet directly below is enough space for a small thesis on the character development… is that how they were able to send Alex Luthor into space? Gatorade bottle restrooms and “A dramatic story of drama and courage. Two friends adopt a Tyran…”

Well, I’m outta here… the constant Gateway Errors are back (four in 30 minutes) and I’m not dealing with it now…

Edit: Add two more to that as I couldn't even "paste and post" without an error.

Have you tried to click on the elipses?  I see that in Prime movie descriptions, and if I navigate up, it lands on the elipses and if you click, it opens up the rest of the paragraph so you can see the finished thought.

Back home.  Was going to go to Walmart but didn't get off at that bus stop.  It would have been too much walking in the heat to get to the entrance of Walmart.  That didn't include the walking around at Walmart to check out the prices of headphones.  I also didn't have enough funds to buy anything there.

I was able to stop at the UPS customer service to pick up a $2 book I ordered.  Might try to read some tonight.  It is an American Girl book called Grace.  Not too complex which I need right now.  My other reading option is Cinder for Marissa Meyer.  Unless I want to open KIndle App or another ereader app and read on my iPad.

Non-Complaint: Monsoon season is here! That means that hot days are often somewhat negated by a cloudy or even rainy late afternoon. Fall is almost here!

Complaint: Dog-sitting for folks who very casually announced that they were running five hours late.

When I used to be in Malaysia, there was a monsoon included a ton of rain which caused crazy flooding.

Thankfully, 'monsoon' here just means extra moisture flowing into a dry environment... it rarely results in anything more than temporary cloudburst-caused flooding, but those clouds sure help to calm the sun down a little bit each afternoon.

    This week's complaint:
On the dates I found good airfares, the lodging was too expensive
Sure enough, on the days where I found cheap lodging available, the airfares were all too expensive

Bah! (And today both are expensive for some reason...)

Ah, yeah... the time that celebrity got chased by the Shriners* police...

(I think the script scaled the police cruisers a bit small)

    A free 1961Thunderbird: https://free3d.com/3d-model/ford-thinderbird-1961-re-uploaded-71607.html

Also there are some free Ford Thunderbird models at DMI: http://www.dmi-3d.net/ford1.html  Most are in LWO format so you will have to convert them to a format such as obj that can be imported into DAZ.

So I came in a little while ago and I'm kinda hungry, and sitting on the counter is a plate of pakora (sorta like an Indian version of tempura veggies) that my mom-in-law left for us... my eyeballs saw it before my brain processed it and I started to reach for the zucchini colored ones, my ears ignoring that my wife just said "it's only mirch and onions", so my hand stuffed a bunch in my mouth, which I started to chew and swallow, before my ears sent the message about "mirch and onions" to my brain which was complaining about urgent messages coming from my mouth about a fire...

Mirch is the Hindi word for "pepper", and in this case hell jalapeños from our garden... I actually think the plants were mislabeled because they neither look nor taste like jalapeños... but either way, I was expecting juicy zucchini and got the devil's personal death pepper.

If anyone is wondering... I learned nothing from this.

The wolves that raised me stressed "eat first ask, questions later".

Complaint: I got Giani 7 in a bundle for a good sale price.  Clothing and poses came down in the DIM, but no Giani 7!  What the hell?  If I go to the product page, the Product Library page has a link button, it says Install Manager Ready, but all it does is open DIM with the product SKU in the search box...and nothing happens!

Had to download it manually.  Thanks, DAZ!  frown

She makes something similar occasionally... it's technically a bhaji, but it's formatted differently, more like a fritter... authentic bhajis are more a Punjabi or Gujarati snack and my wife's family is from a different region of India...

She used to make some great Samosas, but they are a lot of work so most of the time we just get them from a shop.

Jeannie makes a good Samosa, but as you say they can be a lot of work.. Her chicken tikka is to dies for..

    Thats like my Multi-Mammal Chili...

Oh, wait... you said, "To die for"

My chili is to die from.

    Big difference, sorry.

But, if you survive, the hallucinations it causes can be quite enlightening.

I used to make one that included bird meat or squid (calamari) too, which I called Multiple Organism Chili, but people would get disappointed when they realized they misunderstood the name, so I pretty much stopped making that one.

...a bit sleep deprived here as well.

It all began early Friday oaring when the building fire alarm went off .at around 01:30 forcing everyone to head down and outside for myself the evacuation is a painful an dizzying nightmare as I have to walk down five floors of stairs which with my arthritis and slight bit of vertigo is a challenge as the lifts get locked off. Got outside fire dept finally showed  up, and went through the building after which we got the OK to go back in (more likely than not someone either burned something in their microwave or forgot they had a pizza in the oven).  So I get back upstairs flop back into bad and just as I barely nodded off, the alarm sounded again. Got up grabbed my keys slipped some shoes on and as I was heading to the stairs, it stopped. I waited for a moment and nothing so went back ti my apartment and to bed.  Well apparently three times was a charm as about 45 minutes or so later the alarm sounded once again. went through the same drill got out into the hallway and wouldn't you know it stopped once more. For the rest of the night morning sleep was fitful at best . Took a short nap in mid-afternoon and finally felt a bit more awake

    That was only "act one".

Friday night I turned in before midnight as I needed to be up to head to an event across town in the morning.  Later (around 01:45) I was woken by the "thumpity thump" sound of a subwoofer. At first I thought it was a car with one of those overpowered bass systems sitting at the stoplight, but it kept on going.  I got up and looked outside to see no cars waiting at the intersection so my next thought was iit had to be a fellow tenant who was either watching some action film on their big screen or playing a "shoot 'em up game" on their computer (most likely the latter as it was pretty much steady).  I went out in the hallway but couldn't determine which unit it was coming from.  I even went outside to check and see which apartments were lit up and saw there were several near mine on the same floor and just below. .  Not wanting to go knocking on doors (it was going on 02:00 by now) I gave up and went back to bed tossed and turned a bit while doing my best to try and ignore it .

Woke up very bleary eyed still went to the event where I drank several very strong cups of coffee to stay coherent, and when I got back home, took another nap. Given these last two nights, my sleep routine is pretty much buggerd for the time being.. Fortunately I don't have anything important to deal with for the next two days and hope to get back ion an normal sleep schedule

As there are primarily seniors who live here, there is a 22:30 noise curfew, but obviously someone chose to ignore it (there are several younger people living here as well). Since the office is closed for the holiday weekend I'll have to wait until Tuesday to talk to the management.

    I think I slept 12 or 13 hours last night.  I probably don't need a nap today.
