Aaaaaaak! You should remove that link! Even though those are for stuff that was either free at once or is still, you shouldn't show serial number info, I'm pretty sure that's a security risk for you.

that is the generic link.  if you clicked on it, it would show your numbers not mine,

Suspicious... how do you know my serial numbers?

Are you one of those mind reading aliens... jokes on you though, I lost my mind years ago... this is just some mind I found in the trash, so HA-HA!

    Okay... I got it...

My bad... not that I thought you'd post your serial numbers, but also not that I really though much about why that was there... I guess I figured something went wrong with something you were trying to do...

    You got me though.

Not that it's that hard to do... today I've got the attention span of a Russet Potato... not even one of those fancy red potatoes, just a cheap old Russet.

Back off to the vets tomorrow. I'd love to go to an alternate universe to see what would've happened if my Mum actually listened to me last week. At least we would've been able to rule out (a) "parasite(s)".

Please stop asking me questions about this film. It's on for "background noise". I don't care what's happening.

I've felt something "snap" or "ping" in my arm, and now I've lost the ability to grip things. Until this happened, I wasn't aware of how much I use my left hand.

Apparently 24-hour fast food just isn't a thing anymore where I live. I drove around for nearly an hour, past 4 Jacks in Boxes, 3 McDonaldseses, a Wendy's and a Taco Bell. To Taco Bell's credit, they were open, but they didn't have drinks (and several of the restaurants that turned out to be closed also had signs posted saying that their drink machines were broken). I'm currently waiting for my food at the fifth Jack in the Box.

There is a CO2 shortage going on apparently.  I went to circle k last week or the week before and the soda machine was down.  I thought the ice machine was down too, but it was okay in the end as I got extra ice coffee for free.

Wasn't there supposed to be too much of it?

Unfortunately too much atmospheric CO2 is still a very small amount, so when it is used industrially or in food production it needs another source.

They should use some other gas instead of CO2... maybe hydrogen... nothing bad ever happened when Hydrogen was use as a substituted gas.

Well, okay... the Hindenburg... but the Circle K isn't a Zeppelin, so it would probably be fine.

Yeah, it has been a while, but it's me again.  Sans Squirrel.  I've come back because I have a benign but satisfying complaint that will explode me unless I extrude it.surprise

Complaint:  It's snowing!  It's only October 18th and yet it's snowing.frown  About an inch of gloppy white stuff from the sky.no   Ah, with that extruded I feel much better now.smiley

Non-complaint:  I'd heard warnings that it was going to be cold today.  So, yesterday I toddled up to the grocery store and bought this week's perishables.  Fresh fruit, salad stuff, bread, milk, etc.yes  I've already hoarded enough bagged munchies, as well as canned and frozen stuff for at least four months so I won't starve during this winter's expected harshness.  But how many bags of "Goldfish" can I endure?indecision

'Nother deep complaint bubbling to the surface:  Why is it that my favorite brand of instant decaffienated coffee is twice as expensive as the un-decaffienated version?angry  Why Folgers? Why?sad

Glad to see you back, LeatherGryphon!   I was going to say LG, but there was another member that went by that short initial.  Maybe I can retire it from him.  He hasn't been in here for quite a while.  Used to frequent the Freebie Challenge, but I haven't seen him in there in quite a while, either.  Maybe Kyoto Kid knows what happened to Lord Ganthor?  I miss his images with that mutt Boston.

I popped in a couple times over the last couple months but was uninspired to complain.  Or more specifically, was afraid of unintentionally offending someone, again.crying

Meanwhile I've been having a life, divorced from the Internet as I was.  Well, sort of a life.frown  I've mastered "Obduction".  No, I'm not a master at abduction, but rather the game "Obduction".  I have its non-linear world maps in my head now, I know all the puzzle pieces, I know all the linking seeds, and clue locations, so I just run around now trying to find the most efficient way to (spoiler alert)  put all the pieces in order, connect the trees, blow up the "bleeder", foil C.W.'s plans, and celebrate the win.smiley

Also, I've stopped buying computer gear and even cancelled my NewEgg.com sales notices!surprise  I have completed building an enviable system of three modern computers and one of them even has an RTX-3080 now.yes  So, playing Obduction, is super zippy compared to playing it on my old system 3 or 4 years ago.  Wheee...  'puter power!smiley

I got a real wig.  It was about same price as a Victoria's wig, but mine comes only in one color.  Also there is no way to change the color.

Its good to see you back!

I don't know why the decaf coffee is twice as expensive as the caffeinated ones, but I'd be willing to come up with something interesting.

...good to see you back.  Yeah I heard  about the threat of frozen water from the sky on the news last night.  The UP (Upper Michigan) and northern Wisconsin along Lake Superior was expecting up to 8"  Winds in the northern Great Lakes have been rather strong as well kicking up large waves on Lake Michigan.

Meanwhile it's still been summer here with temperatures in the  70s and 80s which is unusual for October (Portland has recorded the most days for the month ever where it was 80° or above).

However,  that's all about to change in a couple days as highs will take a nosedive into the 50s and stay there with water from the sky (unfrozen) and breezy conditions for the next week and a half through Halloween.  We also had a late wildfire season as well with smoke in the air during the last couple weeks but not as bad as past years.

Apparently the warm weather we've been enjoying will be heading your way in a couple days so the snow should be short lived.

    Complaint::

...19:00 and already dark out.  In about two weeks, it will be dark well before 18:00 as DST ends and with the sun setting before 17:00.

Did I mention I hate winter?

...apparently as the Daz+ sale ended early this year and now we're going to see a steady onslaught of Genesis9 content.

I'm no longer in a position to start from square one anymore having to dump hundreds into morph shaping, skin/material resource, along with new characters, hair, and clothing content all over again to make it useful for custom character development. I haven't even bothered much at all with G8.1 and only have a modest library of content and resources for G8 (primarily the more "unique" characters) most of which I picked up on sale after the introduction of 8.1.

    ...:late night complaint.

When I took the rubbish out I found a note on my door with a business card from a state Revenue Department agent which doesn't make me very comfortable.  Can't be about taxes on my Social Security benefits as Oregon doesn't tax those.  Haven't held a job for about 7 years (and that was just for one month).  Will have to call them tomorrow to find out what their beef is.

The part that unnerves me is this person actually came to my apartment building (apparetly driving all the way up from the capital in Salem which is 50 miles away) instead of calling or emailing me or sending a statement and/or whatever forms I need to fill out via DeJoy Delivery

this individual also supposedly came by at aound 10:20 this morning yet I received no call from the office they were here and there was no knock on my door (I would have heard that as I was in the kitchen cooking brekkie at the time). The last call on my phone's call log was last week Friday when I contacted our transit system about potential service disruptions with the President herein town  as I had to go somewhere.

    Very troubling.

Not expecting to sleep very well because of this as it was an "in person" visit.  I barely make it month to month the way it is (I'm not even getting half of the average SS benefit amount) and can't afford any more expenses as other bills went up.

Maybe it's your browser... for example I can't even upload one photo using Safari on my iPad, but with Firefox I can do several at a time... I don't think I've ever done more than maybe six at once and I've never really bothered to see what the limit might be... it might also have to do with size too?

Before you call them, find the actual number for the department and call to see if they even do that sorta thing or if that person even exists... that sounds as fishy as hell, because they don't really do that sorta thing around here anymore unless someone is a big offender... you don't want to give out any personal information to anyone doing door to door phishing... which is a thing, but I haven't heard of it being IRS yet... mostly free solar panels, home improvements, energy efficiency  assessments.

I am cold.  Is the heater on in this building?

  • McGyverMcGyver Posts: 7,066

Probably not if you are cold... if the radiators are cold or the heat vent filled with shivering spiders... probably not... then again, check to see if you are sitting in a tub of cold water... in 2021, the leading cause of being cold was being encased in ice or lost in a blizzard, so it never hurts to check first before you start setting stuff on fire for warmth.
