4.8 iray mac version CPU always on

The CPU goes to 100% even though it's not selected. My GFX cards are working GTX780s and are the only items selected in the advanced setting window for photocell. And the render speed shows that the graphic cards are working. This seems to work fine on the PC version of the software (i have a dual boot system)

Does anyone have a mac who can confirm this?
