OT: USB cable question

Hi,
Is there such a thing as a USB cable that has a mini USB on one end and a I THINK a usb B side.
What I have is a small portable HD (originally was in a laptop but laptop died but the drive was good so I bought an enclosure. That's got a port for a mini USB cable. The other end is going into the new music player in the salon but I think THAT'S a mini usb, it's shaped a bit more rounded and slightly longer and thinner (slightly) than the mini USB but is also called a usb port. It's all so confusing to me. I tried doing a search for a cable set up like that on Amazon and Overstock but keep getting cables that show just regular sized USB A and then other end is USB B.
Didn't know there were so many TYPE'S of USB port sizes. Unless I'm hallucinating! lol
Thanks
Richard

Greetings,
Does this help: http://images.wisegeek.com/micro-usb-mini-usb-and-standard-usb.jpg ?
There's also http://images.wisegeek.com/usb3.jpg which I've never seen in any of my devices, that I recall.
I'd say put up a picture of what you're dealing with, it's the easiest way.

I have one like this on my camera http://www.digi-quick.co.uk/index.php/panasonic-lumix-dmc-tz60-usb-battery-charger?gclid=COaiytD02sQCFSQGwwod2y4Aig

Knowing what each end is called might help finding a cable, here's some listings of the various types with pictures:

First picture: Far left and the middle ones are what I would need on either end.
I do have an adapter, which does work just fine but I'm really weird like that.. I'd like a cable that's set up as mentioned in my post just above this one, nice and stream lined. If not I can stick to the adapter.
Thanks all for your help, I appreciate it! :-)
Does these look like they'll work (2 lenthgs):

Thanks. Asked a question about the second link. The first one looks a bit short for my needs. Thanks so much. What sort of search line did you type out for Amazon? I tried so many variables and never got on that put me on this particular track! :-|

Dug this out of my "Favorites" list. I think you'll find anything you want here.

Thanks so much Walt! :-)
You're welcome. It's a pretty cool place. Saved my butt a couple of times.
Back in the 70s & 80s I weathered the RS-232 connector variations issues. What a debacle. I called it the non-standard standard. USB is tame by comparison. Did you ever play with one of those RS-232 break-out boxes with the light for each pin on each side of the connecton where you had the joyful opportunity to experiment to see what the *&(^% variation of voltages and pin-outs would work for your situation? Then after you found the right combination of connections were you ever tempted to just leave the break-out box in the cable rather than try to make a proper cable or find some place that sold one?

What do you get if you say yes?
And what do you get if you just walked away leaving the break-out box in place?
