#190078 No Genesis 2 base model and other problems

Hello

I just recently re-downloaded DAZ 3D program but it seems I've run into some problems

1) I've been trying to get the latest version of Genesis 2 to load, but when trying to locate it, all I see and find is Genesis 1 and the default Male/Female base models. I'm not sure if it correctly downloaded and installed into DAZ. I reinstalled the content using the Download Assist Manager (or whatever it is called) but the same thing occurred. It couldn't located the Genesis 2 content.

2) I did get a message that a particular path wasn't preselected when installing DAZ 3D. And I'm not sure if that is crucial or not. And if I were to install some morphs if I decide to purchase them, would they go into the "body evolution" folder? Or would the new morphs be located somewhere else?

3) and apparently I found some Victoria4 .dcz files (or whatever the file format is) and not sure if they were installed with DAZ3D 4.7 (free)

4) and will morphs for v4 work on Victoria 6?

I'm not sure what to do. I'm not a big DAZ3D user but it does help with art references such as posing and such

V4 will not work on V6 Unless you buy her UV maps and morphs some products that help with this:

    http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female

On your product page it should list Genesis 2 female starter essentials and Gensis 2 male starter essentials. You need to download both of those to get the Genesis 2 stuff to show.

Picture 1) See in DIM if you install this three files. If you can't see them in the third tab of DIM, you haven’t downloaded all the starters. These are separated of DS4 pro software because they are big. If you can see them, then set the mouse on starter name. The complete information about installing and folder is displayed. Because I use a custom folder for installing, you go to see a very different folder.
Picture 2) You need set this folder in DAZ Studio. In content library tab, select DAZ Studio Formats. This displays all folders with known path. Yes, this is crucial. If you folder is not displayed you need add it.

Please try to make the thread names summarize in a few words what the problem is to make it easier for people to know if they should look because the title informs them and they know they might have a solution or an interest.

Ok, try this. In the "Installed" tab in DIM, look at for Genesis 2 Female Starter Essential. Right click on this and select "Show Installed Files" now it shows where this was installed in your hardrive. In my case is "E:/STUDIO/!SHAPES 2", so I needed set this in "Content Library" Tab the Folder "!SHAPES 2". In your case it would be different, probably My Library or so. You need to know this to verify if this directory is added to "DAZ Studio Format" in content library.

    Okay
Ill be reinstalling to make sure i didn't goober anything up ><.</p>

    1) i reinstalled the DIM

    2) in the first pic , it seems there are check marks next to some installed content. Is this vital?

    3)i reinstalled the DazStudio 4.7

    4) in the second pic, i assume these are the defaulted locations to where installed content will go? If not which path should i relocate it to?

    5) now I have this error >< (in the 3rd pic).

I will continue after i solve this new problem u_u

default location when using DIM is C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library. All your stuff will be there unless to specified a different location. If you installed your stuff where DIM wants then it goes where I said. If you don't see the stuff in DAZ Studio then you need to add My DAZ 3D Library to DAZ Studio content manager
