Converter Problems

This is a bit broad, but I'm having issues with these two converter products:

https://www.daz3d.com/character-converter-from-genesis-2-female-to-genesis-8-female-

With the first, I set up the clothing to be converted, as well as the directory and file name. However, when I converted; nothing happened. The process was glossed over and created nothing

With the second, I was unable to use it period. It's already installed and when I started the script; there was an error that said "An error occurred reading the file, see the log file for more details."

Have these problems occurred with anyone else using these products? Am I doing something wrong?
