[Can certain parts of a spotlite's beam be made as not too shine lite] An example is a figure near a tree that is getting lit, the figures lighting is fine but the same lite hitting part of the tree makes it obvious that there is a spot lite in the middle of a forest, is there a way to block out the beam from hitting that tree while leaving the beam on the figure the same?

Only careful placement of the light, I'm afraid.
Ok thanks Richard
Several things to do, 1 is to adjust the beam angle to make it broader or tighter.
Another is to make a special IES light, but this can be tricky to get right and requires 3rd party software you can't make them in DAZ but you can use them with like a sphere emission instead of spotlight.
Easiest is to create a an opacity map, b/w and to create a simple plane, set the plane shader to like UBER and use the opacity map on the opacity channel. Child the plane in front of the light some distance. You can use this to create lots of cool effects like tree branch shadows and stuff. But you have to make the black and white opacity map in a paint program.

This is great charles!
