Changes in appearence between the "Texture Shaded" and "NVidia Ray" previews and the render
I've been experimenting a lot with Face Transfer. I've stablished a process that has been giving very good results, that involves using an excellent frontal, expressionless picture, pre-editing anyway to remove anything that could cause problems, "Face Transfer" the picture, then manually edit the features using the same frontal picture and a profile one superimposed over the Daz model using Pureref, and finally editing the skin to change the redness Face Transfer usually causes and correct any other features / spots that need correcting. Today, for example, it took me around 3 to 4 hours to finish the process to one specific subject.
Well, in the end, when I looked to the "Texture Shaded" preview and compared to the original picture, the similarity was striking! The picture had very good resolution and lighting (so the face features where all there) and after messing around with the face features I could really see the original subject in any angle I turned the 3D Model.
Then, I've used the NRay preview, and suddenly the similarity wasn't so great anymore. OK, the resemblance was still very high, but lots of features where apparently lost.
Finally, I rendered the pose, the same pose that looked exactly like the subject in Texture Shaded preview and using basic lighting, and the render was someone that had only a distant resemblance to the original picture.
In short, if I took a screenshot from the Texture Shaded preview, almost anyone could see who the person was. On the other hand, using the render it would hardly happen.
Frustrating.
Any thoughts? Maybe the "facial features" of the skin (age marks, etc) wre lost in the render, as they are not in 3D but only colored lines over the skin? Any tips?

Face Transfer can be a bit hit and miss. I experiment with lighting on the ones where the rendered face looks less like the person, it can be improve the look in some cases
