When you say you get boxes, are you sure the product has an actual obj model or is it only textures?
It's an actual set according to the readme.
You may want to reinstall your asset.
I loaded mine for the first time ever I got it just fine.
In case it matters, I only installed the DS file not the PS file.
I have it and it works fine. This was done in Iray.

Steam Cab Taxi seems to be Poser product, which has to be loaded from "Poser Format" folders
"This product has one full Poser installer and one installer with DAZ Studio optimized material settings"
Vintage and Restored is just a texture package that requires another product to work "Steampunk Steam Carriage", this is also a Poser product
"Vintage and Restored is a detailed texture package for the Steampunk Steam Carriage."
How are you installing your content?
That one loads fine for me too.
Check the Log File and see what is happening.
I was responding to where he said "I buy some old stuff and just get boxes" which seemed more general and as an aside from the initial question.
The product page says DSON Core Installer, Poser Core Installer and a DS Legacy Installer.
The Poser Core Installer is the actual product, that will have the mesh, the rigging and all of the textures.
The DS Legacy will likely be material presets in DS format (.ds, .dsa or .dsb)
The DSON Core is likely just a couple of subsets and the metadata for "smart content".
Odds are someone loaded the Poser files into DS4, applied the Legacy materials to it, then saved it as a scene subset, then when they packaged it they forgot to include the mesh data sitting in the "Data/Auto_adapted folder".
If you install the Poser Core, then DS should be able to find and recreate the missing info from the "Data/Auto_adapted" folder the next time you load the subset.
According to the file list in the readme there are actual DS files, not just a scene subset with auto-adapted poser files.
And it works fine for some people who said they have only the DSON Core file installed.
Wasn't refering to the original item, but to the posted image of boxes.
On closer examination of the image, it would appear from what I see in the scene tab, that the product has been "converted to weightmap", this is the most idiotic thing you can do to a Poser figure in DS4, as it is now broken.
To add to things if the mesh isn't in the data folder, then those subsets wont have any "legacy_source_info" information, so even with the Poser Core installed DS4 wont be able to recreate the missing data folder files.
Safest thing to do is uninstall the DSON Core and just used the Poser Core and the DS Legacy installers instead, or go get your money back.
It has its own DS installer. And renders with iray like this.
Ok! I got it. Does this mean my taxi and carriage are kaput?
Long shot but do you have the Poser library mapped in your Content Directory Manager? It looks like it can't find the geometry file, normally dsf in the data folder but in this case could be looking for the obj in Runtime-Geometries. That's what gives grey boxes normally.
How are you installing your content, and are you logging in to DS?
If by any chance, you have installed/updated those products within DS, they may be located in completely wrong location.
