I am told that the new generation Intel i3-i5 processors are faster than the older generation i5-i7! Is that true? I mentioned in an earlier thread that I purchased a third computer cheap to add to my network. I am going to put in an RTX 3060 12 gig card to replace the AMD ROG-STRIX-RX580-T8G-GAMING Processor frequency 1411 MHz: Power Supply is being upgraded to 750 Watts. Also, a new case and motherboard that can handle 64 gigs RAM Present one handles only 32 gigs. The present Processor is an intel i7 Quad Core 3.40 GHz / 3.80 GHz Max Turbo. I have been advised to replace it with the new Intel i3 or i5! What is the advice of DAZ Studio users here? Remembering this is not my main rendering computer. The computer also has a 1 TB SSD+ 500GB HDD. Cheers

My advice: don't worry about the CPU. Your current i7 will work just fine in that system.
