Help with G8 Eyelash Morph

When I create G8 eyelash morphs, I have to select the eyelashes to apply them. It doesn't work if I select the main figure.

This isn't the case with other characters I've purchased. Their eyelash morphs can be applied to the main figure without any issue. I'm pretty sure this is because their morphs are saved as part of G8, but I can't figure out how to do this with my own. Whenever I import/save the morph, it defaults to the eyelashes, not the main figure.

My workflow:

– Send G8 (eyelashes attached) to Hexagon

– Modify and send back to Daz (Create a Morph)

– Adjust settings, save as Morph Asset

Any ideas as to what I should be doing differently? I feel like I'm missing something, but I can't figure out what it is.

  • Yes a morph for G8's eyelashes would have to be on that geometry. And saved to it as well AFAIK. But then an additional file type can be made that requires G8 to be selected in order for it to work. Those file types are "hierarchy" ... some people really like these, others really do not.

  • This is usually done by creating a property on the figure with the same name as the eyelash morph - then setting the figure slider also triggers the eyelash control. Note that it's the name, not the label (the bit visible on the slider) that must match. You can do this by putting the Parameters pane in Edit mode (right-click menu), then right-click>Create New Property, give it the correct name and limits, done - it doesn't actually do anything to the base figure, it's just to drive the eyelash morph, but it still needs saving as a morph asset.

  • Works like a charm. :) Thanks to you both!
