How to mirror a prop from one hand to the other

How to mirror a prop from one hand to the other

Trying to make the tommygun go from left to right hand so it can be saved and opened into mirrored body pose's righthand.

Symmetry works for figures (with bones) not props. So if the tommy gun is a figure (unlikely) you're in luck.

For props, save the current figure pose by adding a dot on Puppeteer. Then in the Parameters pane choose zero figure pose. Now you should be able to unparent the tommy gun by choosing Change Parent to None but leave Parent in Place checked on. Then you can manually mirror the tommy gun's X/Y/Z parameters (transform/rotation) to reposition it to where the right hand is. Once it's correctly positioned, parent it to the right hand (parent in place again) and finally restore the figure's pose by clicking on the Puppeteer dot.

    That should do it.

Change the sign (plus to minus of vice versa) of the X Translation and the Y and Z Rotations.
