Question installing updates with DIM (Solved)

I have my DAZ content split onto 2 external drives and always install with DIM. If DIM is set to install content on say drive E but the update is for a product installed on drive D, how will DIM treat it ? Will it install it to the correct drive? Or will I wind up with two seperate installs of the same product?

DIM gives you the flexibility to choose. Click the Gear icon in DIM and go to the Advanced Settings Installation tab. In the Content Updates selection, you can choose whether to have updates installed where the original product was installed or the currently selected path. DIM is awesome!

I don't think an update would create a second install of the same product on another drive, but I don't know for sure. I would expect it to uninstall the old product and install the updated one instead, where you told it to install updates. You could test that theory easily enough by updating one product to the other drive. Then look at the libraries on both drives and see whether the old product installation is gone.
