Hide geoshells and only show materials applied

Hello, I am trying to add blood materials to the geoshell for a gun fight, but I don't know how to hide the rest of the geoshell (white area) and only show the blood applied. When I decrease the opacity to 0, both blood and geoshell disappear. Sorry I am new, can someone help please? Appreciate it a lot.

  • You can hide completely unneeded areas through the Parameters pane with the Geometry Shell selected - there are a series of buttons by group and surface name. For the area with the blood applied you will need a mask, white where you want the blood and black elsewhere, which you apply to the Cutout Opacity property in the Surfaces pane.

You need to make an opacity mask that corresponds to the areas of the geoshell that don't have blood.  Whatever tool you used to make the blood should make that process simple.

It seems much easier, but I do not have PScrying

GIMP is free and can do just about anything Photoshop can.

Almost any photo editing software sould be able to do what you need. A good majority have the same options but are applied differently, but as another suggested, GIMP is free so give that a try.
