The full 9 yards Big Game Bundle - Questions about content

I've got a couple questions about the stuff that is delivered in the Big Game Bundle
The Big Game Outfit Uniform is supposed to come with shoulderpads, but they aren't shown in any promo picture. So how detailed are they made? Good enough to pass for real shoulderpads when not putting the jersey over them?
Is the Football with poses really modelled after a football as it's used in american football at colleges and in the NFL, because for me it looks a lot more than a rugby ball. They look similiar, but are quite different when going for details.
Has the PA doing the American Football Field ever seen one? There are no team zones, no way for the teams to get to the playing field, the stadium ranks are arranged in a way that isn't anywhere close to how they are in any football field I've seen in real life or on TV and the utterly most horrible thing: an effing metal fence right at the edge of the playing field???? No wonder there's no audience in that stadium - there never would ever be a game of football played there...
Sorry if I come over as a bit harsh, but American Football is my favourite sport (even though I'm german) and I've been waiting for Football stuff showing at DAZ for quite a while... and this bundle is in parts (see above) utterly depressing for me...

I have a question about th stadium, which is kind of awesome. But, it doesn’t look like it has a player’s entrance at ground level. Usually, there are opening at ground level, usually in the corners where the teams enter. It’s possible, there just wasn’t a shot of the ground-level entrance. If not, how are players supposed to run on the field? How’s an ambulance supposed to get down there in an emergency? Just seems a bit of an oversight I’d there isn’t an entrance.

I fully agree on it looking like a really nice model... but utterly impossible to be used for a game of American Football. The corners of the playing field go right into the lower parts of the ranks?!?
During a football game there's a bunch of people (players, coaches, medic stuff, whatevers..) at the side line in the so called "Team Zone" which extends at least five yards from the sideline..
So it really looks like someone made a model of a football stadium without having ever seeing a game of football before...![devil devil](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/devil_smile.png)
All your players on the same team will also have the same jersey number. Seems such a lazy low quality set of products across the bundle where the absolute minimum effort was put in to just get some products out.
A couple of the unbundled cheerleading items have me puzzled. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the G8F Band Skirt and G8F VSkirt is little notch in the waistband. Am I missing something? Because it sure seems like it's just an attempt to milk out a few more bucks.
At least the two G8M cheerleading tops, while similar, are different in that one is a snug fit and one is loose. It's not just arms / no arms.
Edit: I just checked the stadium and agree with all the comments made above. Missing some critical details. In addition, the only thing that I can see which might pass as a scoreboard / instant replay screen is located way up on top of some luxury boxes or something. Any real life ones I've noticed may be elevated but are normally much closer to field level so people can actually see them.
I think they ar split so people can mix and match - if people want a fairly complete set then it probably makes more sense to buy the outfit as a bundle, or the whole bundle.
I understand that, and it's a good idea, but my comment was about how the two items are apparently identical except for one tiny detail.
Please note that the bundle of the uniform is priced incorrectly. The bundled price is $25 for two items, but each item individually only costs $10. So if you buy the bundle you are paying more. I reported this on the sales 2022 thread several hours ago.
I'm just disappointed there isn't a football uniform for G8F
The "two" skirts is sort of humorus, it really does just look like the same skirt with a morph, but, at least bundled together its about as expensive as any other outfit?
I agree with OP about the stadium: I've seen only a handful of football games in my life and even I find that stadium odd to look at, like its far far too small? Where's the space for the teams to sit on the sides, the camera-people and reporters, and the cheerleaders? Even fields made for highschools have more space.
.
Which they are going to need if any player strays out of bounds and hits those metal barriers around the field.
So it's foootball players vs cheerleaders, with no lineup changes and they all jump down out of the crowd like the price is right. I'd watch that :)
They do as you can see in these photos. The holes aren't nearly as big as the one in the Daz helmet, and I'm sure some are masked by the team logo, but they have them. I think there are some players who still use the older style helmet that doesn't have holes as I've seen both kinds on the field, but it is definitely an option much like having the viser and such.
I really don't like the shirts having the same number (it's not the only one with this issue)
I'd rather sports jeserys were numberless, because at least it wouldn't look as silly than everyone with the same number if more than one person is used in the render.
I was excited when I first saw this bundle and was ready to spend some store credit until I started looking at the details. Plus I was glad to see the 30% introductory discount back to 30% and wanted to support it. But with the many things that aren't correct it is now a pass. Hopefully there will be a better football package sometime in the future.
Touchdown Star is such a great set but I haven't been able to make the shoulderpads work on G8.
And the Genesis era Football Uniform just didn't age all that well, sorry to say.
Big Game Outfit looks great, but I really wish it had the option to take the shirt off.
Or perhaps it does? Jersey, Shoulder Pads, and Undershirt are all listed separately... but why don't the promos show that?
If somebody bought it, some input would be greatly appreciated!
Plus the strange pricing of the bundle... I love that we're getting American Football content, but it's all a bit confusing.
The Big Game outfit does have shoulder pads which are fairly well modeled, an undershirt, and loads as the entire collection so you delete from the scene the garments you don't want. I will render you a picture in a few minutes.
It kinda works when You don't "fit to" but just load it into the scene and parent it to the G8M. It has a couple morphs for the shoulderpad to support basic arm positions, so it can be used with G8, but it takes some effort.
This shows the shoulderpads and undershirt (both separate items); there are also gloves, leg warmers, socks, shoes, jersey, and pants.
Looks like, but seems to have the same problem as most medieval armour for DS figures: a hard surface shouldn't bend with the body. Just check the eyelets and strings going through them to see what I mean...
So, nice try... but still... *sigh*
Thanks for the render @nemesis10, this makes me really happy!
Questions? To me the questions are "When did the planning for this stuff begin?" and "How little time was spent on it?".
1. I was really hoping for a good football stadium environment. The stadium environment for sale has a field with no sideline areas. The banking of the lower bowl is so shallow, most spectators' vision would be obscured by the person in front of them. Most seating in real stadiums is along the sidelines, and the banking tends to be rather steep. Most of the seats in this environment surround one end zone, similar to the way most seats for baseball venues run in a semicircle behind home plate. Is this an attempt to convert a baseball park into a football stadium?
2. Why does the football jersey have a deep V-neck? Aren't the numbers too small in proportion to the size of the jersey? And what kind of fabric is supposed to be simulated? It looks a non-woven polymer, that is to say, a sort of vinyl or PVC.
3. The shape of the ball is wrong--too rounded, like a rugby ball. Did the PA use a ball from a different sport as their model?
I guess we should cut them some slack because American football is a super-secret program that only a few dozen people see, so getting it kinda close is pretty good. Wait a minute--Check that--Football is far and away America's most popular sport? Thousands of photos of stadiums, uniforms, and the ball itself available almost instantly to anyone with a web-enabled device. No excuses for not checking what real-world examples actually look like.
Difficult to see how this sort of thing is not a sign of stuff being rushed to market for the next holiday or marketing event under the assumption that enough users will buy it, even if the content has obvious problems. The alternative--that this stuff is the result of careful research and planning over months and months--would be more disturbing.

There are limits to what can be done with 3d models since they aren't really physical things. As an undergarment, I can't imagine anyone is going to spend hours on weight and rigidity maps if one can easily fix the issue with postwork. I remember a Vanity Fair photo where they showed a beautiful woman's garment on a model and then showed the back where it was all held together with clothes pins, safety pins, gaffer's tape etc.... I would use an image editor's warp toool to correct the shapes if I noticed them.
The bundle price alone keeps me from getting it. Don't need no characters with the football themed bundle. Also no interesting 80% discounted stuff remaining for me. Might still watch the SuperBowl though ;-)
Maybe there's some even newer kind of helmet, with bigger holes than before for better ventilation or whatever? - Personally, I don't care too much about the player's outfit, but I'm really disappointed by the cheerleaders'. They're so very bland and simply made. I just rewatched Cheerleaders on Netflix, and you see so mich variation in costumes there, so many different fabrics and cuts and embellishments. It's sad none of that was picked up. And if these are supposed to be cheerleaders at a game, then I think they should definitely have pompoms, shouldn't they? DForce pompoms, that would have been so cool!
I'm still trying to figure out how the football shoes are $4.88, the football uniform $4.88. The "bundle" that is just the shoes and the football uniform, $12.23.
Make it make sense.
