Is there a way to ??? thumbnails

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Is there a way to control the size of the thumbnail generated when you save a scene?

I tried to replace the thumbnails with larger sized renders but found out as soon as I re-save a scene it generates a new thumbnail at the default size thereby overwriting my larger thumbnail image.

thanks!

When the scene is saved the thumbnail is named xxx.duf.png -- if you name your improved thumbnail xxx.png and delete the autogenerated one, then it won't get overwritten, although you will still need to delete the autogenerated one.

If you're on Windows, you can make the icon "Read Only". If you update the DS file, the DS file will be updated, but you'll get an error message the .png icon file couldn't be updated. Just click on the Red X Close button to close the Error Message.

To make your custom icon Read Only:

    1. Select the icon in the DS Content Library, Right click, select "Browse to File Location".
    2. Select the icon, Right click, select "Properties" and enable the "Read-only" check box, click OK.
