Best laptop configuration for 3D Rendering

Hi All,
I really need help in choosing the buying the best high end laptop for 3D Animation, Rending and Post production work.
I have a Dell XPS 14z, Intel core i7 2640M CPU 2.6Ghz, 8.00 GB RAM, 750 GB HDD, NVidia GeForce GT 520M Graphics card.
While this laptop was working fine, when I try to do MoCap using Kinect it overheats my laptop and is very slow and doesn't work sometimes also rendering is very slow and I can't do editing quickly. I also got a targus laptop cool mat, not of much help.

I want to get rid of overheating problem and faster rendering and editing.

So, I have decided to buy another laptop, after doing lot of research I boiled down to 2 options and I am confused to choose between the 2 cos of they have different CPU processors and graphics cards.

OPTION 1:
Dell Precision M6600 - 17.3" Wide HD+ Display LED Backlit 1600 x 900
Processor - Intel Core i7-2820QM Quad Core Processor 8MB L2 Cache 2.3Ghz
Graphics - nVIDIA Quadro 3000M with 2GB DDR5 dedicated memory
Memory - 8G DDR-3 1333 MHz (2 x 4G) Upgradeable to 32GB
Harddrive - 500 GB

OPTION 2:
Dell Precision M6600 - 17.3" Wide HD+ Display LED Backlit 1600 x 900
Processor - Intel Core i7-2920XM Extreme Quad Core Processor 8MB L2 Cache 2.5Ghz
Graphics - AMD FirePro M8900 Mobility Pro with 2GB DDR5 dedicated memory
Memory - 16G DDR-3 1333 MHz (2 x 4G) Upgradeable to 32GB
Harddrive - 500 GB

I am not much worried about Memory in option 1, because I can upgrade it later on as well, but I need to decide on choosing the best processor and graphics card for my purpose.

Option 1 is QM processor (which is relatively older) as compared to Option 2's XM - Extreme which is the latest processor. And my major concern is about Graphics card which is nVIDIA Quadro 3000M and other is AMD FirePro M8900, I see that nVIDIA Quadro is the only graphics card which supports CUDA capability and in some forums I read that Photoshop, premier pro softwares no longer use CUDA,

1) so do I really need to buy nVIDIA Quadra was my first question and
2) another question is will really make any difference between QM vs XM processors?
3) What configuration parameters do I really need to care about for best possible rendering with performance?

Please advise.

should come with windows 8 (64 bit )
    harddrive 1tb for sure .

    number 2 is better
I would get a desktop over a laptop for what you want to do .
we have done this about 100 times - there is lots of info here - check it out .

THere are a lot of people who would disagree with you about Win 8.

Windows 7 is a tried and trusted OS. Win 8 still has questionmarks against it.

Where I have my computer built I can choose to have win 7 on the new one, and not Win8, which I have no intention of going anywhere near..

I think it will take longer than you predict to have Win8 shipping as standard with off the shelf PCs.

What's with tis win 98 stuff, that's so last century.? not at all sure where you are coming from with that. I think I have to go back at least 4 builds maybe 5 or even 6 to remember that OS

I have to go with Chohole. I'm not sure I want to move to a Mini-App based operating System on a full blown PC. For a tablet sure but a PC? Really?

Windows 8 isn't set to release until October - new machines will come with a cheap (about $15 I think) or free upgrade option for Windows 8, but they won't yet have it installed.
