Hi Is there good way to check Iray Dome Environment map in view port as backgorund?
I know I can adjust scale or Orientation, and set enviroment texture as light source and background.
in render setting with Iray render mode.

but hope to check easy image, in viewport to find good dome setting. (scale, rotation etc,,
and check hot point,,)

if there is real dome "obj or prop" in scene I can tweak it,,
or I may add new sphere as child of Dome then rotate or scale to adjust iray Dome.
but I can not see any "Dome" in Scene hieralchy, as same as viewport ,,
(of course,, I can see it when I render ^^;)

then thought there should be easy way to check dome enviroment image as backgoround
without rendering,,.

==============
then,, unfortunately I have only stupid(for me) AMD HD 6870 bord at current,
(my really stupid dell PC can not supply plenty of power for good nvida bord, then I may need to get new PC)
so that I can only use cpu rendering,, and aux viewport with iray is not good for my stupid pc,,it just stop my working in ds)
then I hope to see way to check enviroment dome image easy without many test rendering adjust dome,,

Even without an nVidia card (or with an underpowered nVidia card, like mine) you should be able to use the Iray preview mode - but it will be slow so limit it to the Aux Viewport.

Ah thank you. I perfectly forgot the Iray view option in 3d view.

Iray view make my pc so slow for me to tweaking scene or parameter, then I keep Texture shaded.
and test Iray render without Iray view.
aux viewport with Iray is more better than 3delightl aux viewport?
    I may check it.

and,, If I use Emission property of I ray shader for sphere, then add HDR image for light source,
and add same image for diffuse as background,
(may need to change normal of faces) can I achieve almost same envronment dome light effect?
