Is there a fast way to convert G8 character to G8.1, using new PBR skin and G8.1 feature?

Is there a fast way to convert G8 character to G8.1, using new PBR skin and G8.1 feature?
Let's say I have a favorite Genesis 8 character, but I want it to use the new g8.1 PBR skin shader. Is there a way I can just click once or twice, and it just turns the G8 character into Genesis 8.1, without me having to do any work?

Has anyone made any tool or kit, that lets you quickly just load a G8 character into a G8.1 ready to go version?

You could just do it once and save it as a material preset for the character and then just apply that preset next time you want to use it.
The easiest would be to load a G8.1 character that uses the new PBRSkin then on the Parameters pane look for your G8 character and slide the dials to 100%.
G8.1 already has all of your G8 characters loaded.You just need to dial them in or out.
Don't for get to dial out the character you started with, unless of course you like the mix of both.
If you want to use the G8 characters skin you'll need to invest as little time to swap over the maps.
You would only need to do this once then you can save a scene subset for use later to be added into other scenes painlessly

He's using the map transfer tool that is builtin to Studio.
Yeah, it reads like a long and tedious process, but so does making a phone call on a modern smartphone if you have to type out the instructions in such a way that a novice could follow them with no experience in operating an iphone.
You really should try out some f the great tools Studio has.
Once you get to know how to use them your will find them quick and easy.
Would you happen to know why he's using the map transfer utility? What is he trying to accomplish?
Characters built on 8.1 typically use the new UV, which has split the torso surface into head and body. Map transferring 8.1 UV texture maps onto the G8 UV allows you to apply those maps onto G8, which doesn't have the new UV (unless you follow these steps).
I see, so it's only if you want to transfer G8.1 material to G8?
Can't you just go to the head surface and choose the Base Female UV, instead of using the new G8.1 UV? That way I can skip that 50 step process?
