Setting Smart Content Saved File Folder

I use Windows 10; Daz 3d: 4.20

Where in Preferences>Director Manager to I assign the target folder for Smart Content>Saved Files?  After the 4.20 update I reassigned my content to the large secondary HD where I have the space (and off my OS drive).

I must have messed something up, because the Saved File section took a dump – it says the files don’t exist.    My DSON and Duf files are in the Daz default location in Documents on my C drive, which is fine.   I can load my save files through file explorer, but that is garbage.  I tried a full uninstall and reinstall hoping for a settings reset, but did nothing.  I have included an image of what I am seeing.  What needs to be added where?

Well you say your saved files are still in the default documents folder but that folder is not listed as a content directory anymore. You should add it back in "DS Formats" and "Poser formats".

i also noticed that you have both "G:/Daz Content folder" and a subfolder of it listed as DS content directory. That is likely to cause problems.

  • Smart Content shows categories, not folders - you would need to right-click the file and select Categorise to add it to the category you want, and remove  it from Saved Files.

Ah!  This is what I was looking for.  I need the C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DAZ 3D path in both Formats.  I couldn't find that information.  Thank you very much!  As for the second part, I should just delete the subfolder and keep the root content folder?
