VDB Questions

I've generated vdb files through another program. I have put in a sphere primitive, added the shader for volume placed the vdb in the spot, even adding the image file to the diffuse slot, iray preview and render does not show it? Any suggestions on how to load up a shader this way?

It might be a scale issue. What program did you generate the VDB in? DAZ Studio has a unit scale of 1 CM so if your other program has a larger scale like 1 M it would be 100 times smaller when imported.
EmberGen. I can see the image on the sphere, the fire I generated, it just isn't rendering or previewing.
What are the settings you are using for the Export VDB node? Is it set for Y axis up and centimeters?

really basic tutorial here, maybe it will help you :)
Yes it is. Anything above 512x512 crashes the program. Slightly under the specs but it works well with 256 to 512 as the image size. I did manage to get the volumetric to render. Stupid me didn't put up a point light for the fire. So I am guessing it was a weak light problem and minimal backing that made it not render correctly. Trying it with a different output scene. Thanks for your input and help.
Dire I went over and checked out the tut, and favorited it. Thanks It did help some.
How do you fix that? I imported from blender, and its like super super super super tiny :(
Daz Script to iRay-Render animated volumetrics (.vdb) updated last night
