Geez, Dart and Inagoni? I had several items I wanted to get from Dart's and Inagoni's store. I got one recently from Inagoni's the package that had Baker. Glad I did, but there were a couple of others I still wanted :(

Wow my wish list really got smaller. They killed a LOT of stores. Even Tony Puryear's, his charcters were amazing. Glad I got most of them, although there were a few left in my list. :( Can't imagine they weren't selling at all. I know I was buying but then I guess I am a minority. Still this large cull surprises me and they didn't wait until after the PA sale.
Guess they lost out on a lot of money from me, but i would rather have bought the items.
I have all but his super computer set... highly recommended products, get them just in case they disappear

Waay cool... TangoAlpha has MV Stella Command Deck still listed as New and 40% off... hopefully to all. I know it's not a huge markedown but is very reasonably price... worth every penny to me. This marks his first Sci-Fi product... I hope to see more.

It looks like an excellent product. It reminds me of the spaceship interiors in "The Expanse" (which is intended as praise, because I think the show does a good job of making their interiors look 'plausible').
Are the elements of the model and their surfaces organized in such a way as to support retexturing? i.e. if I wanted to change the textures to give it a slightly different look, would I be able to apply different materials to the ladders, the consoles, walls, etc.? Or is there just one big texture map that applies to the whole thing?
Hmm didn't see any Carrara shaders there. Am I missing something? Or did they pull them already?
Each prop generally has its own texture map set. So the chair is a map, each console is a map, the desk is a map, monitors, wall, floor, etc. Some have multiple maps - the airlock and computer bank have 3 maps each. But there are also multiple shading domains sharing the maps for most of the props.
I did see the 1st season of The Expanse ages ago - not recently enough for it to be a conscious influence. The big influence as far as the panels etc are concerned is aviation. A lot looks similar to the kinds of things you find on modern aircraft. Oh, and a couple of Russian nuclear subs! And bits of space shuttle & ISS... ;)
(Btw, the boot sequence on the computer bank is worth a read, & you'll find a familiar name on the main viewscreen...)
Lol I made the same comparison to the Expanse in a different thread on this same product, I think in the Commons. Since that show tries really hard to put real world physics and not standard sci-fi magic copouts, it's perhaps not surprising that Tango keeps getting comparisons to the Expanse, it just means the model is quality work and looks very realistic. :)

The discounted products show up on Ron's page. Somewhat oddly, he doesn't seem to be listed among the artists currently on megafastgrab, but it looks as if you get an additional 10% discount if you have a newly-released product in your cart as well.
