    I've noticed that DAZ seems to target folks that actually spend money, so sometimes I see special offers (if I've been spendy) and/or have higher banner discounts than others, sometimes not-so-much... heh.

    This would appear to be 'hiding' specials, but I think it's more of a reward system. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all keen on DAZ or their marketting these days, I just happen to be stuck liking their products, and it's pure coopetition between us and I just won the 90% mis-sale round... :^)

    That said, I don't think they're gonna send me squat in terms of special banners this season... That 90% sale (mistake) was a nice treat for someone who has decided that collecting their art isn't actually being artistic...

    I picked up nothing as there is nothing that I need from the sale.

    I suspect that it will be the same way for most of the sale.

    THe only thing I may get is some tutorials so that my daughter can use them and maybe eventually be a PA here or elsewhere.

    At the risk of the dead horse syndrome, the MM sale last year was not exactly the same as the typical orange banner thingee.  If you didn't buy something, you never saw anything - period.  And there was no announcement that buying anything would result in getting a future discount, so I basically just sat there the whole sale.  If you didn't buy something - anything - the prices were meh.  I wasn't going to buy something at a poor price just in hopes of qualifying for a better deal later.  My brain doesn't work that way.

    There were no banners to lure me in either, sorry Misty (but still a very nice Aye).

    I guess I was there with you... not seeing the treats either, but 'til you mentioned it, I wouldn't have known. I have to agree that DAZ does do some odd promotional things, and while having to 'buy to save' is hardly unusual, it has never been a hook for me. Must work on many others, as they keep doing it.

    Good on my wallet tho'... Like @chickenman, I haven't *needed* anything from here in quite a while (since G3). That hasn't stopped me from picking at the buffet and A3/Gen4/Genesis1 garage sales though. Silly me - therapy i guess, maybe for not doing enough renders. I have to say sir tanecrede in the gallery is a truly inspirational artist. Maybe someday I'll do tha... wait - another sale!

    @unifiedbrain, I suppose this makes a case for spending less time in the forums - hearing about sales and treats we can't enjoy. Were it not for the *great* folks in here, I'd certainly engage the site much less frequently. Talented, witty, and amazingly helpful - good crowd!

    Not Carrara - specific, but the Studio conversion of PhilW's Paige hair is a new release; therefore, his store is on discount.  That makes four vendors who have Carrara-format items included in their stores currently in the artist store discount category.

    The whole store seems to be 40% off, I guess 50% off if you buy 2 items, maybe one has the be new to get the 50. There is a new Carrara shader pack to get you the 50% I think...

    There is also a give away deal, when buying a new item, like the Carrara shaders, you are supposed to get a freebie, for example a Starter Kit or an Elite texture set.

    yes I bought two more Tango Alpha products including the new release with an extra discount.

    There is only a handful now by him I have yet to buy simply as I do need to pay my bills and eat too!

    I have managed to resist much in the store this last month but an artist who supports Carrara must be encouraged.

    Yes, I've got all but a handful of TangoAlpha's products.  This time I picked up a bunch of David Brinnen/ForbiddenWhispers products.  Not Carrara, but very detailed Poser scenes.
