Can someone please definitively confirm or deny that mesh lights don't work in 4.2? I'm hearing conflicting stories. Richard? Anyone? Anyone?

Please don't start new threads on tipics covered elsewhere, but yes mesh lights are working - the issue is with opacity and mesh lights. Before the light was emitted from the surface regardles, but now its luminosity is being multiplied by the opacity - as a result ghost lights (which are usualyl almost transparent) and things like flames (which are often a square mostly transparent with only the flame area more-or-less opaque) are becoming much dimmer, requiring adjustment to intensity or other measures to rstore the intended light level. Fully opaque mesh lights are unchanged in their behaviour.
Good Causam started so I see your answer and can be sure that mesh lights are working and I have some other iray render problem. Both of you: Thank you!
