How to cancel all lighting effects in a scene?

Hello - I have constant problems with characters I move into new scenes, but they carry with them whatever lighting effects are part of my saved character scenes, and I can't seem to find a way to cancel the lighting effects, so that when I move a character (saved as a scene) into a new scene I'm working on with it's own designed lighting effects, these lighting effects in the new scene don't change when I move in a new character (from a saved scene). Might anyone offer assistance here in how I can simply cancel any and all lighting effects I might have, unknowingly incorporated into my saved characters (scenes)? A photo is attached as example - clearly there is a lighting effect here, but I can't find it, beyond when I change the environment map to "none", which doesn't cancel all the lighting effects.

If you "Save As" a "Scene Subset" when you save your characters, then you can chose which elements to save.  If you do not save the "environment options" and the "tonemapping options" then those things won't be part of the file.

As for scenes that you've already saved, if you press CNTRL while you click your character scene it should give you the option to not load the environment and tonemapping.
