Help please with LAMH and Polar bear

I've no idea what I'm supposed to do with the Polar bear...I have the LAMH that comes with Daz 4.7 and the update...I load the polar bear and try to render and Daz crashes.
I have i7, quad core, 32gig ram and GeForceGTX670

I've read the manual on LAMH but it's applicable to the paid version and growing hair on a model, not just loading a model with the LAMH presets.
LAMH shows in my plugins but that's about it....I thought the polar bear would be a load, pose and render...obviously I'm missing something.

Do I need to purchase the full version to use the polar bear?
TIA

First, make sure it's Alessandro's Polar Bear (there's an older one from elsewhere that doesn't work)

Second, go into Window > Panes > Look at my Hair.

With the bear selected, you should be able to click 'apply preset' and go into the presets folder, select it, and bam.

Thank you so much...manage to get a bear rendered, not a great bear but it's a start;)

I thought because Alessandro's bear has a few different versions, the bear, bear with smooth hair, long and forgot the other...it would just be a matter of rendering.

Now when I use the Window - panes- Look at my hair...and click apply preset...window pops up but there's nothing in my presets folder.
I'll check to see if there's missing something in my download.
Thank you so much for your help...I'm one step closer;)

Hi Shanina, take a look at the attached image: there are 4 versions on the "Polar Bear by AM" that come with the product (http://www.daz3d.com/polar-bear-by-am).
One is the base model, no fur; the other three have smooth, clumped and heavily clumped fur.
You can access them from My DAZ3D Library->Animals->AM->ursidae->Ursus Maritimus simply double-clicking the icon in the Content Library.
One note: to get a very white fur, use a UE2 light setting a very low Occlusion Strength (10-20%) and a strong Distant Light so that the fur will shine (quickie render attached).
If you need help please let me know, I'll be here.

Alessandro, thank you so very much...I've finally worked out what the problem was...it's silly really but as a Poser user new to the new Daz I didn't realise the lag while calculating before the image starts to render
I kept thinking there was something wrong and clicked around only to upset Daz and stop the render process.
Thank you for an amazing product and your help:)
