DAZ Geometry editor - creating/Joining faces

I have been unable to find anythinh in the forum or online that discusses this at all. Joining faces to create new face within the geomerty editor.
as an example, I have a sphere, I cut off the top third of this, leaving me with effectively a bowl.
Now I want to create a flat surface across the top of the bowl as a single face, essentially making it into a drum.
Anyone know how to do this?

That isn't something the Geometry Editor can do. It isn't meant to be a full modelling tool, it is for certain support tasks in Daz Studio.
AH.. That is what I feared, seems a strange lack though. You can delete faces but not join them, which seems complimentry.
Many thanks
....the simplest way to do that in Daz is create a cylinder primitive the same diameter as the half sphere with a length of 1 - 1.5 cm, to make a flat disk, .place and centre it on top of the half sphere then select the two items and create a group. Name the group and use it to position the prop where you want it.
I've done this many times to make simple props.
Get Hexagon. (See Download Software), Its free, you can send any object from DS to Hex via the bridge, change, add, delete faces as you want and send the resutl back to DS or store it as an .obj file which can be importet into DS.
