Sale removed in error? (Sale is back)

IGNORE - The sale is back, or I'm going mad and it never left!

Posting at the top level so this is more visible

The sale that started at 2 PM GMT was not supposed to finish until 5:59 PM (11:59 MST). It has been removed from the store but the link is still active and the discounts still appear to work. It does not finish for another 25 minutes according to the banner.

I've become quite good at MST conversions now!

Pure speculation, but it's fun to guess... Everything points to it being rolled out at 8 AM MST rather than 8 PM MST. If it started at 8 PM, it have would run for 4 hours, as they mostly do, rather than 16. It would also explain why there were two on the go at once. Another explanation might be that the day was wrong. Maybe they decided to remove the sale that shouldn't be there and they removed the wrong one?

If the sale reappears later, I guess we'll know, although maybe they won't bother. We shall see!

Another guess is that in order to roll out sales at what are, to them, unsociable hours, they've needed to automate processes that used to be manual. Maybe we're seeing some teething troubles? I kind of almost see this as a good sign as it would show they took the problem seriously and are trying to fix it. Again, we shall see!
